Located in Washington DC, the primary mission of ETNFC is to educate the global community about China’s occupation of East Turkistan and to ultimately raise the cause of freedom and independence of the people of East Turkistan. Also known as Xinjiang, meaning “New Dominion” in Chinese and East Turkistan has been under the illegal occupation of Communist China since 1949.

ETNFC engages in grassroots advocacy and lobbying to US government officials and policymakers about the situation of East Turkistan. ETNFC also engages in educational outreach to the American public and the international community by developing contacts with the press about the history, religion, and human rights issue, fostering alliances with like-minded groups and individuals, and sharing the culture and music with all who may enjoy it.

Directed and chaired by several East Turkistani Uyghur freedom fighters including Anwar Yusuf Turani, Hussain Qari Islami, and Abdulqadir Ahmad Turkistanis, ETNFC is considered to be the first entity ever established in the U.S. focused on the plight of Chinese occupied East Turkistan.
